Anxiety An overwhelming sense of apprehension, fear, and uneasiness of the mind that something could possibly happen, often marked by signs of tension, increased heart-rate, and distress over the reality and nature of a perceived threat, accompanied with self-doubt regarding one's ability to cope with such symptoms.
