"Stained Glass Masquerade"
by: Casting Crowns |
As we go through painful events in our lives, we can sweep them under the rug, and not acknowledge them or we can choose to see them only in a light we can accept. However, in doing so, we fail to grieve over our hurts and losses. By wearing masks, we try to protect our hearts never to be hurt again, hiding who we really are in the eyes of our Creator, therefore we find ourselves walking alone on this difficult journey. But this kind of masquerade blocks our ability to have intimacy and closeness with God as well as others. Don't ever fear allowing God to hold your hand and help you see the reality of your pain and how He is able to work through the painful experiences in your life for your good and His ultimate glory.

Prayer of Hope
Begin With This Simple Prayer Lord, as the author of true, eternal, enduring hope which is ultimately found in Christ Jesus, Your Son, please help me lay down my life before You. Please take my hurts, pains, losses, trials, seasons of sickness and suffering as I surrender to You, desiring for You to lead and guide me on this Healing Journey. Through Christ Jesus my Savior, please give me strength in the sometimes crushing events of this life. Even when I feel tossed and battered by the storms of life, may you replace my fears with an unshakable faith than can only come from You. May You truly be "an anchor for my soul, firm and secure with hope," (Hebrews 6:19) as I wait for You to move. Thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus, to save me and to redeem my life, giving me a "living hope" that is a gift of grace, not based on what I deserve or could possibly earn, but rather a pure hope based on Your amazing, unconditional love for me. In Jesus, mighty and powerful name, I pray. Amen.
"Put your hope in the Lord,
for with the Lord is unfailing love and with Him is full redemption." Psalm 130:7 |
